The house had gone under several renovations which removed much of the historic character from the exterior. The front porch was reconstructed to an appropriate scale and functional size while maintaining access to the added garage. In the rear a large raised terrace supported by heavy posts and large beams was added providing an an outdoor area off of the kitchen. Wire mesh panels incorporated into the railing design provide protection while allowing unobstructed views of the backyard and neighborhood beyond. Full season flowering plantings, native landscaping, gardens, stone walkways and custom metalwork enrich the full design experience.
