Liberty Avenue Canopy
Port Authority of Alleghney County, Wood Street ‘T’ Station, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Weather protection shelter that is a thoughtful and creative enhancement to a historic structure originally built, as bank but long know as Max Azen’s Department Store. Profiled arms are arrayed along a horizontal pipe that is secured to brackets anchored to the building steel support columns. Glass panels are decorated with a swirling ginkgo leave pattern to liven the canopy and mask rain streaks.
