The Uphill House has been shrouded behind the masons’ scaffolding for a while. On Saturday the last section was removed and the front of the house was washed-down. What an unveiling. We have a pretty good idea of what our designs will ‘look-like.’ Nonetheless there are always surprises. The surprise here was how the house ‘lights-up’ at sunset. Not just the material surfaces but the light shining thorough and bursting out from within. And that’s what it’s all about.
