Our friends the masons returned to erect some dry stacked stone retaining walls. The materials are mostly limestone with sandstone and a few bricks from the house mixed in. Cut-offs from a local stone yard. There are two walls. One ‘L' shaped along the street and against the uphill slope. The other, the masterpiece, is curved and runs from the back corner of the house into a settled relic of a wall that’s been there.
